Overview:

Jhpiego is seeking following job positions for the “Flood Emergency Response Project” to be implemented in 04 districts of Sindh.  The project aims to provide healthcare (curative and primary healthcare) services to the population residing in flood affected areas through mobile camps and static centers through adopting integrated approach with other programmes.


Job Positions:

1. Program Coordinator

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership for program staff working on flood emergency response 04 districts of Sindh.
  • Ensure successful implementation of the project and support staff to provide curative and primary healthcare services to the displaced population in selected areas through mobile camps and static centers.
  • Support and develop training material to conduct community awareness sessions on primary prevention like immunization, maternal and child health and other communicable and noncommunicable diseases.
  • Supervise and provide training to staff
  • Keep close liaison with government departments.
  • Work closely with provincial and district government and EPI offices to enhance routine immunization, reaching refusals and zero dose children
  • Maintain data and keep record of clients.
  • Develop monthly progress report of the project

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Public Health, MBBS recognized by PM&DC will be a plus
  • 5-7 years of experience of working in Public health programmes, experience of same type of assignments will be a plus.
  • Proficiency in English and strong report writing skills
  • Knowledge of health information system and data analysis
  • Computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel), MIS, HIS
  • Ability to rapidly analyze and integrate diverse information from varied sources

2. Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator

Responsibilities:

  • Develop plan for data collection, validation and reporting and ensure implementation of plan including quality and timely data collection and reporting.
  • Develop field visit plan for data verification and spot checks.
  • Ensure proper documentation of project and activities data in hard and soft form
  • Develop and update district wise activities summaries and update on regular basis
  • Develop and update presentation and other reports reflecting project progress and update on regular basis in coordination with Provincial Coordinator
  • Conduct thorough desk monitoring and reviews of collected data and share feedback with team for timely correction
  • Monitor project activities, analyze and write up lessons learnt for dissemination.
  • Ensure review of program, service delivery and supportive supervision vision data at district level and its submission to project lead through online system.
  • Regular coordination with project lead, communication department, District teams to ensure coordination of knowledge sharing communication, documentation and dissemination.
  • Conduct the data quality audits (DQA) at district level to ensure reliable, valid and accurate data reporting.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • University degree in public health, sociology, demography, statistics, or other social science; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 6-7 years working experience supporting technical or programmatic activities (experience with health facility setting a plus);
  • At least 3 years of experience in data collection, processing, and analysis, database development.
  • Strong M&E experience and good knowledge of M&E approaches and tools.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong eye for detail.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation of health projects and ability to draft good quality project/donor reports.
  • Experienced implementing qualitative and quantitative research
  • Experienced in conducting research and monitoring quality of data collection
  • Skillful in complying and monitoring data quality checks
  • Excellent time management skills and Knowledge of different data analyses software, such as SPSS, MS Excel and Epi Info etc.
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills in English
  • Excellent peoples and partnership skills
  • Availability and willingness to travel up to 60% time
  • Preference will be given to local candidate having knowledge and experience of local context and language


3. Medical Officer (4 positions)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide curative and primary healthcare services to the displaced population in selected areas through mobile camps and static centers.
  • Conduct community awareness sessions on primary prevention like immunization, maternal and child health and other communicable and noncommunicable diseases.
  • Supervise and provide training to staff
  • Keep close liaison with government departments.
  • Work closely with local EPI office to enhance routine immunization, reaching refusals and zero dose children
  • Maintain data and keep record of clients.
  • Leadership and team management.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • MBBS recognized by PM&DC, advance medical degree will be a plus
  • 5-6 years experience of working in clinical setting and primary healthcare
  • Experince in similar capacity will be a plus.
  • Proficiency in English and strong report writing skills
  • Knowledge of health information system
  • Computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel), MIS, HIS
  • Ability to rapidly analyze and integrate diverse information from varied sources


4. Psychologist

Responsibilities:

  • Mental health screening of population residing in flood effected areas, camps and displaced during floods.
  • Develop referral linkages with nearby hospital/clinics for patients suffering from metal illness.
  • Provide mental health care services to community, create awareness on mental health issues. Training of community health workers, project staff and LHWs on mental health screening,
  • Identify and train doctors working in private sector on mental healthcare.
  • Conduct community awareness sessions on mental health issues.
  • Keep close liaison with government departments.
  • Maintain data and keep record of clients.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Masters in clinical phycology, post graduate degree will be a plus.
  • 5-6 years of working experience as clinical phycologist.
  • Experience of same type of assignments will be a plus.
  • Proficiency in local language and strong report writing skills.
  • Knowledge of health information system


5. Vaccinators (4 positions)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Immunization services to the displaced population in selected areas through mobile camps and static centers.
  • Conduct community awareness sessions on immunization, VPD and child health. formulate male support groups which include religious leaders, community influencers, youth representatives in community to promote immunization.
  • Promote vaccination against COVID-19.
  • Keep close liaison with government departments.
  • Work closely with local vaccinator and EPI office to enhance routine immunization, reaching refusals and zero dose children.
  • Maintain data and keep record of children under 5 years.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Dispenser or diploma in nursing or medical technologist.
  • 2-3 years of experience as vaccinator will be required.
  • Must be resident of allocated district
  • Experience in similar role will be a plus.
  • Proficiency in local language and strong report writing skills


6. Lady Health Visitor / Community Midwife (4 positions)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary healthcare services to the displaced population in selected areas through mobile camps and static centers.
  • Conduct community awareness sessions on primary prevention like immunization, maternal and child health and other communicable and noncommunicable diseases.
  • Supervise and provide training to staff, formulate women support groups in community liaison with LHW of the areas to promote health awareness.
  • Keep close liaison with government departments.
  • Work closely with local vaccinator and EPI office to enhance routine immunization, reaching refusals and zero dose children.
  • Maintain data and keep record of clients.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma in Nursing/CMW course/LHV certificate
  • 3-4 years of experience as LHV/CMW in community
  • Must be resident of allocated district
  • Experience of same type of assignments will be a plus.
  • Proficiency in local language and strong report writing skills
  • Knowledge of health information system
