ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

This job is based in Peshawar Office, the Job holders report to Programme Policy Officer or the designated official.

JOB PURPOSE

To supporting, particularly the BISP Ehsaas Nashonuma Stunting Prevention activities in Khyber and Upper Dir (Additional districts are expected to be added). The staff is required to actively support the BISP Project team for timely planning of the RUSF food allocations (monthly FLA based and Quarterly plans for sharing with CO/PO Programme and logs team), RUSF commodity management and tracking (communicate any losses and track accordingly to tracking numbers allocation to each cartons), Regular daily receiving and run weekly (or more frequently required) analysis for reporting to BISP Provincial team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (NOT ALL-INCLUSIVE)

  1. The staff member will be primarily working for BISP Ehsaas Nashonuma activities for ensuring timely support to Provincial BISP Programme policy officer for smooth running of the 10 Facilitation centers in districts Khyber and Upper Dir (Additional districts may be added, if required)
  2. Timely coordination with the respective district’s coordinators, logs and NIS focal points (CP or Govt, as per NOC situation).
  3. Development of quarterly and monthly distribution plans in close consultation with logs and supervisor for guidance on the development of call forwards for RUSF food from each district. Lead on generation of the CRNs in comet system for approvals and timely food dispatches to the Ehsaas Nashonuma Facilitation centers
  4. Keep logs, BISP Provincial and Country team apprised of the plans and keep close watch on the DSMR status on daily basis.   
  5. Staff will be responsible for timely development of the distribution reports, and reconcile the data with logs team for tracking closing stocks, both at provincial warehouse and the CP/Govt District level Ehsaas NashoNuma facilitation centers.
  6. Timely sharing of the generated reports with (monthly/quarterly/annual) with M&E and CO team to support operational decision-making by unit.
  7. Perform accurate, timely recording of Nutrition information system data for nutrition unit, by regular following with the Govt/Cooperating partners and in line with the needs for the WFP end year SPR.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Completion of secondary school education preferably supplemented by courses in Nutrition

Experience:

Minimum 04 Years experience in programme implementation, out which at least 03 experience in Nutrition project (s) implementation, with National/ International organizations, is required.

Language:

Fluency in English and Urdu is required. Knowledge of local language is added advantage. 

Knowledge & Skills:• Proficient in the use of office equipment and computer software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Excel.
• Knowledge of work routines and methods in order to complete processes under minimal supervision.
• Uses tact and courtesy to give and receive information to a wide range of individuals.
• Ability to identify data discrepancies and rectify problems requiring attention.
