Job Title:

Project Manager,  Strengthening civil society in addressing social and economic challenges and increasing the voice of youth following the COVID-19 outbreak

Travel Required:

 30% - 40 %

Shirakat is a women's rights organization that works on gender justice, social justice, economic justice, and climate justice through research, advocacy, governance, and grassroots action. It is a Pakistan-based national organization that promotes partnership and unity, mobilizes government support for the women's rights agenda, and advocates for gender change, gender equality, and the CB in the faith for masculinity and rights. Creates Oz and CSO capabilities.
Key partnerships and strategies for contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals include:

  • Contributing towards social justice through piloting innovative initiatives for behavioral change beyond boundaries
  • Human Rights, particularly Women’s Rights
  • Violence against women and children
  • Cross sectoral approach focusing livelihoods, health, education and humanitarian action in crisis
  • Peacemaking and peace building
  • Enhancing forums for dialogue, lobbying, knowledge building and dissemination
  • Piloting innovative initiatives for social change and supporting grassroots organizations for change
  • Engaging and working with boys and men as partners for social justice
  • Communication for change striving protection, prevention and participation
  • Coordination, collaboration and capacity enhancement for collective action

The project is a 48-month project that addresses key economic issues affecting the direct impact of COVID-19 on youth, especially women, people with disabilities and minorities from low-income groups. Made to Creating an environment conducive to youth participation in the decision-making process in the proposed design, economic empowerment of vulnerable youth through business development services, and integrating civil society into place and mainstream and integrating youth as an integral part. Include a dynamic environment for participation. Development and governance environment in project areas.

As part of the project team, the project manager will work in consultation with the executive director. Will Ordinary people and young women and men of Pakistan. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Project Manager will work to achieve all the expected results of the project.
The candidate selected in this position will be responsible for the strategic direction of the project so that it contributes to the objectives of the partners. S / he will work closely with the Sherkat program management team to ensure that the promises made under the project are fully fulfilled.
