Description:
The Assistant MEAL Officer will support the design, implementation, and monitoring of project activities to ensure effective delivery, compliance with donor and Organization standards, and accountability to communities. The role will assist in data collection, analysis, reporting, and feedback mechanisms, ensuring timely course corrections and quality interventions in line with project objectives.
Responsibilities:
Support implementation of project-specific MEAL plans.
Ensure beneficiary complaints are recorded, tracked, and resolved as per policy.
Assist in baseline, endline, and post-distribution monitoring and reporting.
Ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness of data collected from the field.
Provide recommendations and course corrections to Project Coordinator and MEAL Officer.
Maintain organized databases, documentation, and records according to Organization and donor standards.
Conduct field visits to validate data and monitor project progress.
Support capacity building of field teams on MEAL tools, reporting, and data collection.
Perform other tasks assigned by Snr MEAL Officer or Project Coordinator related to monitoring, evaluation, and accountability.
Person Specification: It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and sympathy with the organizational values & principles, vision and mission as well as commitment to its PSEAH (preventing sexual exploitation abuse and harassment) protocols. The organization has a zero-tolerance policy towards PSEAH and does not support any action that promotes or encourages PSEAH.
Qualification: Bachelor / Master Degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies, or related field.
Experience: Minimum experience of similar role in NGO setup: 1–2 years of experience in MEAL, monitoring, evaluation, or data management.
Language: English, Urdu and Local Languages
Computer: MS Office, Outlook, ERP systems familiarity, KOBO & PRISM
